**Our client, an internationally known restaurant franchise, is looking for a Senior Front-of-House manager to join their team based in V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.**

**Duties**
**This position is for a Senior FOH manager, second in charge to the General Manager.**
**You will be required to manage 5 other FOH Managers, 4 Kitchen Managers, and 30 + Waiters.**
**Excellent people/customer skills and a good understanding of food and wine.**
**Must be proficient in food cost and bar stock and have a good understanding of labour law.**
**Must be experienced in handling a large staff.**
**This is a large fast-paced restaurant in season, but you need to always offer the customer the unique “signature experience” of the restaurant.**
**Manage guest reception, telephony, catering, and cleaning.**
**Ensure the professional greeting of clients and visitors.**
**Ensure the team leaders and supervisors coordinate their staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional front-of-house services.**
**Implement dynamic operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellence.**
**Develop strong communication and line reporting procedures to guide service implementation making improvements or changes where required.**
**Implement safe working practices to ensure the safety of everyone.**
**Monitor the team’s performance, acknowledging achievements and identifying weaker areas for improvement.**

**Minimum Requirements**
**Matric.**
**At least 5 years of experience in the industry in a senior position.**
**Excellent people management skills with a proven track record.**
**Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.**
**Must be capable of organizing large volumes of work for themselves and the team, multi-task, work to tight deadlines when necessary, and produce high-quality work under pressure.**
**Take initiative and identify opportunities to constantly improve.**

**The restaurant opens at 08:00, and close at 22:00.**
**Staff shifts run from 06:30 - 15:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00.**
