Refrigeration Foreman

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Certificate in Ammonia Refrigeration, CAT B or CAT C & SARRACA registration
- 5 years proven and verifiable experience in maintenance, compressor repairs and commissioning large refrigeration system.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing, maintenance and repairs of Ammonia refrigeration compressors & heat exchangers.
- Monitoring and maintenance and repair of Air Compressors
- Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the condensers and the water softener system
- Responsible for all the valve stations on the plant
- Liaise with Management on prevention of reoccurrence of breakdowns.
- Responsible for all the legal inspections and duties as outlined in the MHI regulations.
- Responsible to carry out all the duties as specified by Ammonia Dispensation and report any irregularities to the manager.
- Responsible to operate the machine according to SOPs and Health and safety procedures.
- Assemble, install and/or repair relevant machinery.
- Responsible for safety in and around refrigeration, workshop and refrigeration plant room.
- Save and control electricity by effective running of NH3 compressors in line with category B Ammonia safe handling procedures.
