Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 31/1/2023- Job PurposeThe Centre for Water and Sanitation Research (CWSR), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is seeking a self-motivated, organised, and dynamic postdoctoral fellow to join the SARChI Chair in governance and economics of water and sanitation sector institutions, starting in early 2023.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A good understanding of the South African water sector is essential, relating to governance processes for water institutions, economics of the water and sanitation sector, financing models for water service delivery, economic regulation of the water and sanitation sector
- Experience with qualitative data collection from a variety of stakeholders including focus group discussions, in-depth interviews and other participatory processes and tools (e.g. participatory mapping or diagramming workshops, dialogues, etc.)
- Experience with processing and presenting quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience with analysing qualitative data e.g. thematic/content analysis, inductive and deductive coding techniques, and knowledge of software packages e.g. Atlas.ti or Nvivo
- Familiarity with literature on water governance, water resource management, social-ecological systems, resilience, adaptation, and collaborative governance
- Experience of working in inter and trans-disciplinary projects
- A driving license is essential.
