Golf Course Finance and Admin Assistant

Our Company current runs two golf-courses. One is situated in Skukuza in the Kruger National Park and the other in Phalaborwa (currently not functional)
We are in need of a dynamic individual who is strong on administration and finance to assist with both of the courses.
The person will initially be based in Skukuza for a period of 2-3 months to learn the systems (temp accommodation provided), where-after they will be required to report and work at the Ba-Phalaborwa Hotel, Golf and Spa once it opens. Occasional visits to Skukuza will still be required after opening of Phalaborwa.
The Golf Course Finance and Admin assistant will work directly with the Golf Club Manager and Resort General Manager and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative and reception duties.
Primary duties include daily administrative workflow, providing a congenial atmosphere for all Golf Course visitors and providing support to the Management team as and when required.
Ensuring the club adheres to the operating budget, maintaining all club financial records of income and expenses, and provide administrative support to the resort financial controller and group financial management teams.
Ability to work weekends and public holidays as and when required;

**Detailed Description / Inputs**
- Manage the Club’s membership system, including maintaining the member database and updating as and when required.
- In support of the Club Manager, create and maintain reporting tools for trend analysis across all club functions.
- Assist in the planning and running of Club events (Prize Giving; Open Week; Club meetings; etc)
- Manage and review administrative files.
- Assist the club manager in the production and delivery of regular facility and operational audits.
- To be an integral part of the member and visitor journey within the “Elgin Experience”
- Other duties as assigned by the Club Manager, or with the Manager’s approval.
**Budgetary**
- Assist in daily financial communication, queries, processing, and reporting relating to members, staff, suppliers and customers,
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly key financial reconciliations - to include weekly cash flow balance, credit card transactions, monthly bank, nominal and budget reconciliations.
- Operate key financial controls - ensuring all financial transactions are complete, appropriate, accurate and authorised.
- Prepare and process payroll and ‘time off’ requests.
- Prepare request for payment and supporting documentation for approval.
- Support the Club Manager with the production and review of budgetary reports and files (expenditure and income records, employee attendance and pay etc)
- To assist in the collection and processing of membership dues, subscriptions, fees, donations and sponsorships etc
Other budgetary duties as assigned by the Club Manager, or with the Manager’s approval.
**Working hours**
08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday
08h00 to 14h00 Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
(Roster based 195 hours per month).
**Minimum requirements**:
Driver's Licence
1 Year experience in an admin job.
**Salary**: R8,500.00 - R10,000.00 per month
