**Head of Product (Telco/FinTech/Lending)**

**Job Type**:Hybrid/Remote | Full-time

**Hybrid in Johannesburg. You will be required to work 3 days a week in the Midrand, Johannesburg office.**

**Requirements**:
Matric/Grade 12 is essential3-4 year Business related degree.Postgraduate management qualification (i.e.; MBA) is desirable.Minimum of 10 years experience.Leadership/Management/Supervisory experience required.Creating strategic plans to win market share from competitors.Prior business lending product design and development experience is essential.A detailed knowledge and understanding of the fast-paced fintech lending industry is required.Understanding of regulatory requirements is essential.Resource planning and management skills.Capable of working across complex organisations and ability to build strong relationships and credibility with multiple levels both internally and externally.
- Commercial focused with a clear understanding of technical ramifications of execution.

**Responsibilities**Manage the full P&L for business lending, including close collaboration with IT leads to keeping Capex spending within a budget.Lead the product team in the conceptualisation and development of products that deliver valuable and unique customer propositions.Provide input and evaluation of all Product documentation against which the IT teams develop.Develop key measurements for performance, including reporting requirements for all campaigns and incentive programs.With a key understanding of the strategic business objectives, guide the prioritisation of development across products and features.Clear articulation of the Business Lending Roadmap, which is continuously refined and updated that drives the uptake of products through digital channels.Overseeing the development of all relevant documentation, providing inputs and evaluation for financial business cases, defining business rules, and working with customer experience teams to define and refine existing and new customer journeys.On-going innovation and product development based on consumer and market trends as well as historical data and performance that extends beyond that of a traditional telecommunications product proposition.Provide insights to the broader team around innovations and developments within the Lending and FinTech industry, keeping track of competitor launches and taking measures to mitigate risks.Ensure that the team regularly reviews launched products to ensure the performance is in line with initial assumptions and implement corrective measures if needed and look at how to improve/enhance products.Monthly product presentations for an audience consisting of managing executives.On-going management of performance of team members.Provide inspirational leadership and coaching across the Business Lending Product team to deliver on commercial outcomes.Create a high level of employee engagement to deliver best-in-class digital lending solutions.
- Develop individuals within the team with real-time coaching, feedback, and timely career and succession planning, ensuring that each individual has a documented personal development plan.
