**Well established crop producer (Agriculture) is in search of a Data Analyst and Insights Manager to develop internal/external information sources for business analysis through presenting insight and recommendations to management for decision making and strategic planning in the marketing department. The critical role of the Data Analytics and Insight Manager is collecting, collating, analysing, and interpreting data related to the company’s marketing and sales performance. Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related and a minimum of 4 years' experience in data analytics and mentoring teams required. Advanced MS Office, SQL and Python skills required. Based in Johannesburg region.**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science, or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience in data analytics with experience mentoring or managing analytics teams.
- Advanced Excel.
- Advanced SQL & Python.
- Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
- Experience around data feeds, data loading and ETL
- Understanding of digital marketing, eCRM, and campaign management.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
- Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Double Click (Desirable);
- Own transport and valid driver's license

**Duties**:

- Data Collection
- Data Analysis
- Analyze Sales Funnels
- Competitive Research
- Providing Recommendations on closing marketing and sales gaps
- Reporting and Visualization
- Marketing Intelligence
- Build relationships with clients and colleagues in business areas.
- Develop the data models across the customer journey.
- Working with the Data Planning teams to develop targeting data models.
- Manage and mentor a small team of specialist's analytics professionals.
- Build, validate and deliver analytical models.
- Finding trends and patterns in the information
- Creating data graphs, dashboards, and visualisations.
- Producing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) within both the marketing and sales teams.
- Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
- Help form data management and governance processes.
- Managing and designing the reporting environment
- Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
