**Fire Detection and Gas Suppression technician**

**Salary -** Market Related, depending on experience

A well-established engineering services firm has an opportunity for an experienced Fire Detection and Gas Suppression technician to join their team in the Pretoria West area.

**Working hours**: Monday - Friday: 07H00 - 16H30

**Minimum requirements**:

- 5+ years working experience in a Fire, Gas suppression environment
- High proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word inclusive of MS Projects)
- Technical qualification will be advantageous
- Driver’s license and own vehicle to get to work
- SAQCC Registered (Fire & Gas suppression)
- Previous Product Training
- In depth knowledge of SANS 10139, SANS 246

**Duties will include but is not limited to**:

- Doing installations and maintenance
- To provide costing and pricing for Fire, Gas suppression & Security Systems (tenders and quotes)
- To provide fire protection designs and industry specific solutions to clients.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in planning, organizing, team motivation and delegation.
- Excellent documentation skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good negotiation and risk management skills
- Fast learner and the ability to operate effectively in new environments
- Ability to collaborate as a strong team member in a fast-paced environment
