Specialist Artisan

**Minimum Job Requirements**:

- Matric.
- Qualified Artisan - Quality Council of Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
- Trade Test - Fitter and Turner.
- Up to 5 years experience in Mechanical Maintenance.

**The Job**:

- Collaborate with the relevant departments to understand their needs in order to ensure availability of equipment and machinery.
- Install and integrate new equipment and machine into existing production processes.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on all equipment.
- Co-ordinate planned maintenance to ensure that it is executed within the stated timelines.
- Provide input on task team appointed for procurement of equipment and machinery based on requirements of production processes.
- Seek technical advice from Original Equipment Manufacturers on maintenance procedures.
- Compile fault reports on equipment and machinery and advise Foreman / Manager / Production Planner of any potential production downtime.
- Provide practical and theoretical training and mentorship to Apprentices and Junior Artisans.
- Provide input at problem solving sessions led by Industrial Engineering.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of the current processes.
- Innovate and implement improvement solutions.
- Perform standby duties when required in order to address any breakdowns.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and report all safety hazards, accidents and incidents to relevant parties.
- Adhere to set out world class manufacturing standards in order to ensure the company remains competitive.
