**_ Position Purpose:_**

Provide enterprise and user support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the Security Information

systems. Help manage day-to-day Security Systems operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all operator, server,

storage, network devices, mobile devices, etc.

Ensure that the security systems remain fully functional and are effectively managed, administered, maintained and operated

throughout the ports system. Protect and secure the integrity of the security system by profiling all security system users.

Scope and manage security systems processes and procedures. Use new technologies and software that will benefit and

extend the economic lifespan of the security system. Ensure that the security system supports business performance.

**_ Position outputs:_**

1. Implement systems technical standards, Create systems operational procedures and Develop Security systems

configuration, Create and maintain users profiles and related

documentation and authorisations.

2. Develop security systems administration operational procedures.

3. Monitoring recordings and archiving, perform hot-swapping of hard drives and perform raid configuration if required after

system errors. Conduct file de-fragmentation from time to time.

4. Setting up and monitor camera frame and bit rates, Setting up and monitor cameras tours, Anti-intruder configuration and

setting up alarm triggers according to Security

requirements.

5. Perform controlled systems shutdown and bringing cameras up after system being off
- line.

6. Setting up access control zones, restricted areas, personnel profiles, and user configurations as per the PSO approval.

7. Configuration of access control readers and controllers, setting up and maintaining enrolment stations, development and

customisation of the graphic user interface when

required.

8. Creating and changing reports template as required by the Security Department, perform data exportation for further

customization, camera settings before and after an

event.

9. Monitoring of IP addresses, setting and resetting, network usage and identify bottlenecks.

10. Monitoring and maintaining systems integration, air-con systems to ensure that server rooms are well cooled.

11. Maintaining database integrity (Video Access Control servers), monitor systems health via daily logs reviews and ensure

systems interfaces function effectively.

12. Develop systems administrator and operator training syllabi and ensure training for systems administration and systems

operators. Ensure that the competency levels of Systems Supervisors and Security Systems Operators are maintained and

upgraded in accordance with the requirements of the ISPS Code, the Maritime Security Regulations

and the Port Security Plan and arrange training when required.

13. Manage all software licenses, systems passwords, and user access, ensure secure access to the systems is maintained.

14. Ensure systematic software upgrade is performed when available from the supplier, and manage network maintenance.

15. Develop various systems configurations to ensure optimal use of the system as required by security management.

16. Identify new technology and configurations and make recommendations to optimize the security system.

17. Manage and monitor systems usage and provide a weekly report.

18. Equipment Maintenance, performing routine maintenance on all equipment and determining when and what kind of

maintenance is needed. Interrogate maintenance plans and review maintenance plan, with the intention of making timely

orders for spares/equipment. Manage, control and direct security systems maintenance activities

to ensure the full functioning of the security systems, and facilitate the development of systems maintenance and service

level agreements.
