Senior Chemist

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- MSc(synthetic chemistry) or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
- Proven ability to lead synthetic chemistry projects.
- Proven ability to generate technical documents and research reports.
- Experience in route of synthesis scale-up from laboratory to pilot manufacturing scale.
- Understanding of OHSE regulations and applied knowledge of cGMP within a production environment will be an advantage

**BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (DEPENDANT ON TEAM)**
- To plan and lead small scale and scale-up experiments to assist with the development of synthetic processes and technology transfer to production.
- To carry out scale up experiments.
- To develop efficient and environmentally acceptable scaled-up synthetic processes for the manufacturing of new products.
- To provide chemical support to existing and new processes in Production.
- To assist in compilation and review of manufacturing protocols and research reports.
- To transfer manufacturing technology to pilot and/or production facility.
- Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOP’s and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
- Adhere to all Company OHSE rules and regulations.
