Quarry Manager

Overview:
To manage all aspects of the Quarry operation to ensure efficient production of a quality product whilst adhering to all safety and environmental regulations

**Responsibilities**:

- Management of the operation including the development and management of the entire quarrying process
- Maintain optimum production levels and production planning
- Management of planned maintenance through maintenance controllers
- Budgeting and reporting on performance monthly including KPI’s
- Manage product quality according to specifications
- Management and development of all subordinate staff and quarry trainees
- Management of the Health, Safety and Environmental Programmes
- Assume Management responsibilities pertaining to Minerals and Petroleum Resources
- Development Act and other relevant legislation
- Management of the Health, Safety and Environmental Programmes.
- Stakeholder engagement
- Drive safe behaviours
- Generate monthly legal report
- Mine planning and quarry reserve management
- Balance production to Sales output

Education/Qualifications:

- Applicants must possess a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- A relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline would be advantageous

**Experience**:

- Opencast blasting ticket/qualification would be advantageous
- A minimum of 5 years management experience in an Aggregates environment with specific exposure to Operations, People and Commercial Management.
- Minimum of 3 years Quarry Manager experience
