Junior Hairstylist

We are looking for a magnificent Junior stylist to join our service excellence focused Excentricdreamteam.

Required skills as a Junior:

- Must be fully qualified and completed hairdressing studies at a professional, reputable institution
- Must have been a Junior stylist performing all services on clients for a minimum of 1-2 years in a busy salon environment
- Must be a superstylist
- The Employee’s job description includes the following:

- Meet and greet client in a professional manner
- Full consultation and quotation before starting any services upon clients visit
- Preparation of client
- Shampoo clients hair
- Scalp massage at the basin
- Performing all services in a professional and highly skilled manner to the best of your ability by conforming to the Excentric Brand
- Cutting and styling (Wash, Men, ladies and kids cuts, blow dries, flat iron, Blowout packages)
- Up-styles
- Treatments and treatment upgrades (Glossing, Masks, Molecular refiller, Toners, Keratin treatments, Olaplex, Nioxin)
- Colour services (Highlights, Bleaching, Full colour, Balayage, Hair contouring and any new advanced hair colouring techniques)
- Seek out training for any services you are not comfortable to advance and excel in.
- Easihair Pro Tape in extensions
- Keeping her/his area hygienically clean and sanitized at all times
- Team player. Assist where necessary
- Promoting/marketing the salon to promote her/his clientele on social media platforms and other forms of marketing.
- Home care and styling recommendations with every client-Retail sales
- Follow up maintenance recommendations with every client-Rebooking and client retention
- Willing and able to continue training stylists and being trained by senior stylists for continual growth
- Willing and able to mentor students/learners/apprentices
- Bring models on quieter days to practice services you would like to improve on as well as be more confident and as high standard as the Excentric brand.
- Responsible for making sure you get your clients

- Exceeding guest expectations at all times. Go the extra mile for each client that you have the privilege of having in your chair and your team members
- Documenting your professional work on social media to create brand awareness
- Salary / Commission: Earning potential 7-30k
- Products used: Redken, Inoar, Kerastase, Pureology
- Proposed starting date: Asap or 19th of Feb
