Hydrologist

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced **HYDROLOGIST **for a well-established company, position based in the **KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.**

Grade 12.

BSc Hydrology (Hons) or a BSc Eng (Agricultural or Civil) Degree.

Professional registration (Pr.Sci.Nat or Pr.Eng), or eligible for registration.

Person must be able to read / write / speak English competently.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Proven track record of water resource planning and modelling in small and large systems.

Extensive knowledge and experience in some of the typical modelling systems used in South Africa such as ACRU, Pitman, PC SWMM, WRYM, WRPM, SPATSIM, HECRAS, GoldSim, WEAP, SWAT, HEC HMS, HEC-GeoRAS, Mike modelling and DSS tools, and the use of GIS are required. Experience working on international projects would be an advantage.

Catchment hydrology assessments including rainfall-runoff modelling.

Water resources yield and planning analysis.

Design flood hydrology.

River and stormwater hydraulics, including stormwater management planning.

Business development.
