The School of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a Periodontist who will contribute actively

towards undergraduate teaching and learning in the B. of Oral Hygiene Program in the field of

clinical supervision of Oral Hygiene students in the various aspects of periodontology within the

lectures and tutorials for the Oral Hygiene students.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- All applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry
- A specialist’s degree qualification in the field of Periodontology;
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Periodontist;
- Appropriate clinical experience (experience in clinical supervision of students will be an

advantage);
- AND
- Teaching, Research and Administration, as applicable in the University criteria guidelines

and job profile.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Must be able to perform and supervise all aspects of specialized skills within the scope of

practice of the Oral Hygienist in the field of Periodontics
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
