Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the Intelligence Analyst II will support the analytical needs of a major client. The Analyst will work directly with his/her Manager and the EIS team to produce analysis addressing client-specific requirements.

The Analyst will be based out of the Crisis24 Cape Town, South Africa office with a hybrid schedule. The Analyst will be available to travel to client locations as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required on a case-by-case basis.

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Client Relationship Management and Customer Service - Supports the analytical needs of client. Resolution and proper escalation of questions and concerns from personnel and assets in the field; to follow-up and close cases in a timely and comprehensive manner. Brief groups on situation management, both verbally and in writing
- Threat Analysis, Alerting and Reporting - Monitor the client’s security threat information subscription services for client exposure to threats according to client’s protocols and guidelines and with a high degree of autonomy. Produce intelligence analysis addressing client-specific requirements and supports the travel security program
- In coordination with Crisis24 EIS Managers, and in accordance with appropriate guidance gathers, assesses, and disseminates analysis on the nature of global security threats, the likelihood that they will affect the client's travelers, assets, operations, and reputation, and what the likely effects are; actively monitor open-source media, third-party subscription services, and other sources in real time for issues that could affect business operations and personnel; conduct welfare checks of personnel in the field, in coordination with a Global Security Operations Center; open-source intelligence collection and analysis of regional trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, customized intelligence products to decision makers
- Develop client-specific intelligence products including, but not limited to: Travel Threat Assessments, Location Threat Assessments (Neighborhood-, City-, or Country-level), Site Threat Assessments, Event Threat Assessments, Requests for Intelligence, Daily Incident Assessments or Intelligence Products, Threat Forecasting, Scenario Forecasting, Social Media Monitoring
- Incident Management Communications and Coordination - Regular review and maintenance of Emergency Action Plans. Prepare situation reports and internal briefings for response and crisis management teams
- Online Exposure Assessments: Liaise with the client to better understand their requirements and concerns and understand the client’s operational footprint; manages client expectations by understanding the EIS team's product offerings and limitations; and supports manager in tracking metrics around production of deliverables

**Education Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred

**Work Experience**:

- 2 to 4 years’ experience in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, incident response or a related field required

**Skills**:

- Excellent research, writing, and verbal briefing skills
- Excellent analytical skills, including familiarity with analytic techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with Google Earth and Maps
- Effective problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work with little supervision
- Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines with effective time management skills
- Establishing and maintaining positive professional rapport with other analysts and SME as well as client contacts
- Foreign language and travel experience preferred
- English language skills required, and French language skills preferred
- Customer service experience preferred

**Information Security**:

- Adhere to applicable information security procedures and policies as updated from time to time on the ISMS
- Report any information security incidents or potential information security threats to the Information Security Officer
- Take a proactive approach to information security

**Note**:

- Flexible hours and workdays are required to meet Crisis24 core 24/7 mission, to include occasional holidays and weekends
- Required to be available to travel to client locations as needed
