Chief Executive: Commercial

The Chief Executive: Commercial will lead the strategy and take accountability for the Financial Services, Cellular, Online Commerce and Business Development portfolios in the company. His/her ability to effectively interact at strategic level with confidence, impact and influence is a key attribute.

The position will report to the Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Naude.

**The main responsibilities of this executive position include**:

- Drive business development to add sales and profit growth.
- Drive and direct the Financial Services and Cellular strategy to capitalise on current products and identify new growth opportunities.
- Drive and direct the Online Commerce strategy across the Ackermans and Ackermans Connect brands to support future growth.

**Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements**:

- Five years of relevant industry experience, including at executive or senior management level.
- Excellent leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to lead teams.
- Demonstrated business acumen, results and detail orientation supported by strong analytical ability.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in the running and implementation of major business initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and maintain 3rd party relationships.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
- Experience in retail, ecommerce, financial services and cellular is advantageous.

The position is based at the Ackermans Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town, and the role will demand domestic and international travel.
