Vacancy exists for an Assistant Carpenter - Maintenance Department (Grade B5)
***Main Purpose**:
To carry out woodwork repairs and new work as instructed. This task will include planning work in accordance to given time frames, consisting and calculating quantities for required work, designing partitions, lab benches, office furniture, the manufacture, erection and fitting thereof.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Carpentry workshop functions
- Manufacture laboratories and office furniture
- Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment by following established inspection.
- Renovations, partitions and repairs
- Administrative functions such as completing and signing all necessary job cards.
**Minimum Requirements**
- Matric (Grade 12)
- NTC2 - Carpentry
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment
