Jnr. Shipping Controller

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Process and manage the import/export operations
- Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and laws
- Prepare and manage documentation for the customs clearance process
- Coordinate transportation and logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders
- Manage and monitor and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, freight
forwarders, and customs officials
- Prepare and analyse reports on import/export activities, including shipping schedules, costs, and inventory levels
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise import/export operations and reduce costs

**The Requirements for this position is**:

- Grade 12
- 2 years of experience in import/export operations and logistics
- Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain/ Freight/ Shipping/ Imports & Exports (an advantage)
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and laws
- Experience with customs clearance and transportation logistics
- Experience with customs procedures
- Pastel (an advantage)
- Shipshape (an advantage)
- Advanced computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong administration and accuracy skills
- Clear Criminal and ITC records
