**Day-to-Day Bookkeeping**:
We are a growing property development and construction company with operations across the UK, Australia, and back office in South Africa. We are in the process of implementing **NetSuite** as our ERP system, and we are looking for two experienced **bookkeepers** to join our finance team. The role will primarily focus on **day-to-day bookkeeping** using **Xero** and other systems, while also supporting the **NetSuite implementation** project.

**Role Overview**:
As a **Bookkeeper**, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities, ensuring timely data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. Additionally, you will assist in the transition to **NetSuite**, providing valuable support during the implementation process. This is a **remote position** based in South Africa, but you must have the flexibility to align with the **Sydney office’s** working hours when needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate financial records and data entry using **Xero** and other systems.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and supplier accounts.

**Accounts Receivable and Payable**:

- Manage **accounts payable** and **accounts receivable** processes.
- Ensure timely invoice processing and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- **Month-End Close & Financial Reporting**:

- Assist with **month-end close** processes, including preparing financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records for audits.
- **Support the NetSuite Implementation**:

- Assist the finance team in the **transition from Xero to NetSuite**, including data migration, testing, and validation.
- Work closely with the implementation consultants to ensure the smooth setup of financial modules.
- Participate in **system testing** and help resolve data discrepancies or issues.
- **Collaborate with the Finance Team**:

- Communicate with the finance team in **Sydney** and other locations to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting deadlines.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- **Ad Hoc Financial Tasks**:

- Provide support with ad hoc projects or financial analysis as required by the finance team.

**Key Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with experience in **Xero**.
- Experience with **ERP systems** (NetSuite experience is a plus, but training will be provided).
- Knowledge of **accounts payable/receivable**, **reconciliations**, and **month-end processes**.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in **Xero** and other cloud-based accounting systems.
- Intermediate to advanced **Excel** skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of **financial principles**, **accounting standards**, and compliance requirements.

**Soft Skills**:

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work **independently**, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong **communication skills**, both written and verbal, to collaborate with international teams.

**Flexibility**: Ability to work flexible hours to align with the **Sydney** office when necessary.

Note the position is to work from home so appropriate setup/internet is required with a quiet space to work from as online meetings with office in Sydney and London are required.

Pay: R14 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month
