**Position Overview**: We are seeking a skilled Theatre Enrolled Nurse to join our team at the new Mveledzo Day Hospital in Thohoyandou. The role involves providing valuable support within the operating theatre, assisting with patient care during surgical procedures, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in preparing operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring cleanliness, and organizing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Providing support to surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments, handling sterile items, and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs, anesthesia administration, and intraoperative care under the supervision of registered nurses and surgeons.
- Assisting with patient positioning, prepping surgical sites, and preparing patients for procedures according to established protocols.
- Participating in post-operative care activities such as wound dressing, monitoring recovery, and reporting any changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
- Adhering strictly to infection control practices, safety standards, and hospital policies within the operating theatre environment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care throughout the surgical process.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Enrolled Nurse qualification with current registration and practicing license.
- Previous experience in a theatre or perioperative setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and operating room protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, procedures, and clinical practices in perioperative nursing.
