Stocktaker

**Position required to start on the 09th of January 2023**

**JOB PURPOSE**

The core purpose of the role is to conduct stock-takes at intervals according to company standards.

- Stock Control
- SHEQ Integrated Management System control
- Business Continuity

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Stock Control**
- Ensure all stock are quality checked and binned correctly and timeously.
- Ensure all physical stock items are allocated to a bin.
- Report any damage stock to the Stock Controller / Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensure all bins are used effectively, marked correctly and product codes displayed on correct location.
- Count stock and ensure all bins required to be counted for the day are closed off on same day.
- Conduct 2nd counts of stock as required.
- Ensure all bins are counted in full by month end.
- Ensure stock discrepancies are communicated to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Assist with investigation of stock discrepancies as required.

**SHEQ Integrated Management System control**
- Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
- Co-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
- Carry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
- Report any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
- Report any incident to the employer.
- Comply with health and safety plans
- Ensure the stock holding areas complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
- Ensure effective housekeeping in stock holding area.

**Business Continuity**
- Assist in the warehouse as may be required by the needs of the company.
- Responsible to comply with the SHEQ Integrated Management System (SHEQ-IMS) and the maintenance thereof

**KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant years’ experience in a similar position.
- Relevant years’ experience in an operations / warehousing environment.

**SKILL REQUIREMENT AND KNOWLEDGE**
- A thorough practical knowledge of best practices in Stock Control and Operations processes.
- Awareness and understanding of the ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001 Requirements relevant to the processes under your control

**REQUIREMENTS AS AN ADDED BENEFIT**
- Experience in the aluminium profiles, -systems and -accessories environment or similar.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Valid Forklift license.
- Grade 12 or equivalent

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Due to the nature of the position, must be able to work outside the contractual working hours, within the criteria of overtime, when authorized.
