Junior Farm Manager

**Descriptions**:
Ensure timely and accurate execution of production tasks as communicated by and agreed with the Production Manager
Measure and collect relevant data to provide feedback in terms of measuring efficiencies of production against protocols and planning
Measure and evaluate efficiency of sprays, pruning and irrigation, contract workers and provide feedback to the Production Manager
Manage stock, labour and production costs, record keeping and report to Farm Manager
Motivate, mentor, coach and manage a team of workers, with special reference to supervisors and scouts
Regular meetings with scouts to ensure Pest & Disease identification and that management system runs efficiently
Communicate and motivate interventions with regards to pest, irrigation, pruning and other production related matters due to specific visual interpretation, discrepancies or deviances from the standard
Support the Production Manager in achieving the production unit’s overall objectives
Perform any reasonable duties as requested by the Production Manager or his/her designate

**Qualifications**:
Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture - Citrus
Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ proven experience in Citrus
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Attention to detail
Strong leadership skills and ability to work confidently in a group
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving skills with a can-do attitude
Excellent time management skills
Computer literate
Driving licence
