IT Software Support Technician

A well-established printing and digital distribution company in Cape Town is seeking an IT graduate with practical experience to join their dynamic team.

The colour management side of the business entails the supply and implementation of software products and is focused on sales and implementing relevant and exciting technologies for the print and packaging industries. The digital distribution side focuses on the supply of consumables, ink and LFP devices to clients.

**Primary function**:

- To provide support across a range of software products installed at various clients in the print and packaging industry. Software products fall into the category of process automation, web to print and color management.

**Secondary function**:

- To gain an understanding of a range of printers that are supplied to the color management industry for proofing and production, this understanding will include some hands-on training to perform light technical tasks should it be required. This aligns with the color management division where installations of software run on these printers.

**Daily tasks would include**:

- learning and testing software products internally
- partaking in meetings with other support staff to learn from and assist with ongoing projects
- eventually take part in providing software support to installed customer base.

**Requirements**:

- Matric plus completed IT qualification
- As a software support person, some exposure to HTML / Node Js/ Java would be nice to haves - even self-taught basic knowledge
- Some basic IT practical experience would be advantageous
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle is required

**What the company is offering**:

- ongoing training
- 15 days leave, close between Xmas and New Year
- Salary: R15 000 - R18 000 pending on qualification and experience

Pay: R15 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month

- Paarden Island, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
