A permanent vacancy has become available within the Retail Insurance: Medical Payments

Department for a Medical Payment Administrator.
Role Purpose

To ensure the accurate preparation of a set of accounts up to trial balance. Processing of accounts, preparation of reconciliations and reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for resolving account(s) related queries and accurately processing information in response to requests about Momentum/Metropolitan product offerings.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 (with Maths and/or Accounting) or an equivalent qualification
- Up to 2 years’ experience in a similar role and/or insurance medicals experience.
- MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) proficiency.
- AS400 experience (MACS & FACS) - preferred
- Workflow system experience (BPM) - preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
- Medical Account Payments: Process insurance medical accounts accurately in line with company policy and within agreed timeframe
- Reconciliations: Timeously and accurately prepare reconciliations and provide quality feedback to relevant parties within agreed timeframe.
- Reporting: Timeously provide accurate and quality reports to relevant parties within agreed timeframe.
- System updates: Perform system updates/changes accurately and by agreed deadline
- General Admin Duties: Perform general admin duties done accurately and within agreed timeframe. Duties include 1. Preparation of Medical Payments accounts. 2. Printing and distribution of remittance advices. E-mailing all account related documentation. 4. Indexing of medical documents.
- Deposit Allocations: Perform Half Costs allocations in line with remittance advise and within agreed timeframe
- Expenses Management: Negotiate service providers who claim above the Momentum/Metropolitan tariff rate
- Risk/Opportunity identification related to Expenses and Revenue: 1. Identify financial and business risks to the company and escalate accordingly. 2. Minimise the company's loss by controlling excessive wastage. 3. Contain costs within budget parameters.
- Collaboration: Effective and consistent service delivery and support to all internal and external clients in line with Company policies and TCF Principles.
- Performance and Development: Manage own performance and development.
