**Job Purpose**:
**Job Objectives**:

- To deliver a clear vision and supporting strategy for the Academy.
- To support with recruitment for all Academy staff and create a staff succession plan for the Academy.
- To implement an operational / performance plan to deliver the strategic objectives based on Academy KPI outputs
- To review these KPIs with all Academy management and monitor and adapt plans to achieve these KPIs as necessary.
- To deliver all activity within the agreed budgets for the Academy.
- To identify and manage change effectively through effective communication and a process of continuous improvement.
- To manage all Academy staff so they know what is required of them and can achieve their goals through regular performance management, team meetings and regular 1:1 meeting.
- To address and manage underperformance.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with complementary role players in the training sphere.
- Establish and maintain productive and beneficial relationships with Service and MICT seta
- Represent the Academy and its interests on various committees and ad hoc forums where necessary.
- Ensure profitability of the Training Academy.
- To assist in improving skills in the BPO / GBS sector.
- Expand the training courses and offerings.
- Influence Curriculum development, training programmes and materials.
- Promote and market the Training Academy.
- Any other tasks, projects or duties that may reasonably be expected of an employee employed at this level with these skills set.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Human Resource, Training and Development or Education is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as a Training Specialist or Technical Training Lead/Manager
- Professional Certification in training (certified technical trainer) will be preferred.
- Ideally you will have a Level 5 ETDP /Assessor and Moderator Certificates
- Experience with artisanal training highly preferred as well
- Strong knowledge of development and learning practices.
- Ability to identify organizational training needs.
- Ability to determine the effectiveness of training.
- Good knowledge of succession planning and talent management methods.
