- Minimum Requirements- Recommendation- Food Science courses as part of your tertiary qualification; Experience in agricultural value chain(s); Working knowledge of the following: Agricultural marketing environment; Agricultural value chain/s; Agro-processing sector.- Key Performance Areas- Perform market research with key emphasis on agricultural products, markets and value chains based on the department strategic/operational plan; Produce agricultural market information reports and other related systems/databases; Communicate with industry role players and represent the Western Cape on various platforms; Respond timely to enquiries relating to agricultural market information; Perform administrative and related functions.- Competencies- Knowledge of the following: Clear articulation of the challenges faced by the agricultural sector in relation to value addition; Understanding niche markets and value adding for agricultural products; Proven computer literacy; Excellent networking, report writing and presentation skills; Ability to communicate technical information accurately; Written and verbal communication skills.- RemunerationR 359 517 per annum (Salary level 8)
