**Category Management Buyer**

A well-established hardware retailer located in Ballito is in search of a qualified and experienced Category Management Buyer to join our team. The successful incumbent will be responsible to facilitate the effective management of goods for the group.

The duties will include:

- establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with suppliers
- monitoring and maintaining adequate levels of stock
- Analyzing market trends, business needs and challenges
- Demonstrate a forward thinking approach that is focused on customer satisfaction
- Meet deadlines for product launches and promotions
- Presenting ideas and new product ranges to Top Management

**Requirements**:

- Matric Certificate, with Mathematics
- A Qualification in Supply Chain will be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years experience within a Hardware retail environment
- Computer literate with experience on MS Excel at an intermediate level is essential
- Strong negotiating and effective communication including soft skills
- a team worker who is able to work independently and without supervision
- High attention to detail and able to work accurately
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Must have a valid driver's license, a vehicle and be willing to travel as required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hardware Retail: 5 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
