Jnr Acccounting Assitant

Any qualification in accounting would be an advantage but is not required if advanced experience with Xero and Hubdoc
- At least one year’s experience in a bookkeeping position, regardless of having a qualification or not
- Familiar with POPIA requirements since we are working with sensitive financial information
- Remuneration:

- Salary would be market related based on qualifications and experience.
- A company vehicle is available to “sweeten the deal” provided that the person has a valid driver’s licence and is above the age of 25, but does not have own transport.
- Compulsory membership to the firm’s pension fund which is with Momentum’s Funds at Work. It includes death and disability cover, as well as funeral plan for member, spouse and children. It also includes one year’s of medical aid cover in the member is the main member of the medical aid and died.
- A company laptop will be provided, which may be taken home to work after-hours if required or if requested and approved
- Responsibilities
- Daily review of client documents uploaded to Hubdoc and publishing transactions to Xero
- Daily bookkeeping on Xero including VAT reporting
- Communicating with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and information
- Monthly bookkeeping on Pastel (for non-Xero clients)
- Assist with preparing annual working papers and processing annual financial statement journals on both Pastel and Xero
- Assist clients own bookkeepers with bookkeeping queries
- Answering phones and WhatsApp messages if Client Engagements staff member is unavailable (stand-in)

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
