**A Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Waterfall campus in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; the following qualification for the first semester of the 2023 academic year**:

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:
Ideal: Masters (NQF level 9) qualification in International, Political Studies or Sociology. Minimum Requirement: An Honours or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF level 8 qualification) in International, Political Studies or Sociology.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:
Preferably two years lecturing experience in the discipline of Political Studies. Work experience ideally in one or other field related to political analysis, political consultancy, public policy and/or political engagement management, political writing.

**Working Conditions**:

- Availability to lecture part-time during the week, between 8:00am - 5:30pm (on campus)
- Deliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline
- Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary
- Grade all assessments for assigned classes.
