Senior Buyer

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with internal and external sales teams to understand their material requirements
- Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and on-time delivery of materials
- Continuously monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and new materials that may be beneficial to the company
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in the procurement process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports
- Participate in supplier audits and evaluations
- Knowledge of the PPE industry will be an advantage

**Requirements**:

- Matric (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an advantage)
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software systems
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and attend industry events
