**Introduction**

Our manufacturing client based in Gauteng is in search of a Junior Buyer to join their team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Data capturing of all purchase orders

Maintaining Vendor Master list

Request and analyse quotations and cost breakdowns

Maintaining Sourcing Approval documents

Updating of all purchasing reports to Management

Expedite and follow up with Suppliers to schedule deliveries

Assist with inventory control

Assisting with Supplier Evaluations

Supplier price negotiations

Benchmarking exercises.

Assist with closing of all departmental Non-Conformances

Assist with Contracts/Procedures

MRP

Assist with Purchasing strategies

Assist in VA/VE exercises

Build and maintain supplier relationships

Assist with budget management

Adhoc tasks

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Matric

Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience.

Previous Buying experience is a must.

Good Negotiation skills.

Good financial & Business acumen.

Electrical Purchasing/Technical experience is advantageous.

Must be computer literate, Syspro experience will be an advantage.

Be responsible and accept accountability.

Must be proficient in MS Office.

Must be able to work independently.

Prepared to work overtime when required.

Must be proactive and hard working with a high level of integrity.

Quick learner and eagerness to accept new challenges.

Good communication skills.

Good admin and document control.
