**Role requirements**:

- Thorough accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, including preparation of books to trial balance and completion of management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Good understanding of financial, tax and accounting principles.
- Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Ability to work to a timetable, sometimes under pressure, and for multiple clients.
- Non-profit sector experience is advantageous, and a demonstration of a strong interest is mandatory.

**Key duties or responsibilities**:
We are looking for someone to be responsible for all or parts of varied and interesting assignments with non-profit organisations, which could include:

- Communicating professionally and warmly with a portfolio of clients.
- Review of monthly accounting work by clients or our Ziyo bookkeepers
- Preparation or review of financial reports or annual financial statements
- Independent financial reviews of financial systems and controls for areas of improvement
- Facilitating financial management training
- Support and advice on tax compliance and benefits for public benefit organisations.
- Set up of new cloud accounting systems.

**Qualification and experience**:

- Minimum of a B.Com degree or equivalent and articles
- Significant previous financial management and/or accounting experience, ideally in the non-profit experience sector.
- Evidence of interest and enthusiasm for the non-profit sector.
