IT Technician

**Job purpose**
- The IT Technician is responsible for general support and maintenance of computers, as well as providing first and second-line support to all users.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Provide desktop support for the company's employees in PMB and Hillcrest area.
- Provide basic network support and troubleshooting.
- Provide second-line support for faults escalated by the IT Technician.
- Provide general support and troubleshooting for Desktop, Notebook, and other IT equipment.
- Install and configure new IT Equipment in accordance with the company's requirements and policies and adhering to licensing limitations where applicable.
- Assist the IT Manager with the day-to-day running of the IT Department.
- Assist in the undertaking and completion of Computer or other IT related projects.
- Perform maintenance on PC’s and other IT Equipment.
- Assist the Admin department in IT asset management and reporting.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the company's Domain (Active Directory, MS 365, etc.)
- Assist the IT Manager in the maintenance and upkeep of servers and server software including but not limited to:

- Microsoft Windows Server (2019, 2022).
- VMWare Virtualization.
- Backup and disaster recovery software (Veeam) and hardware maintenance.
- Assist the IT Manager in the maintenance and upkeep of essential network services including but not limited to:

- Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure
- DHCP
- Perform first-line support and troubleshooting of printer problems, escalating where necessary

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years IT experience supporting a large organisation.
- N+ & A+
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCA, MCSA, MCSE, Skilltec / Microsoft).
- After-hours & weekend support may be required from time-to-time with reasonable hours.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
