- As a Protection Services Officer PIU you will be functioning in the product investigation unit of security. This role serves the purpose of administrating theft of platinum related information background validation and maintaining the PIU data base, within an Anglo American Platinum Operation

**Job Description
- Your day-to-day duties will include**:

- Administrative duties
- Maintaining unit data base
- Updating all financial registers and electronic records.
- Liaising with screening team
- Profiling of suspects.
- Updating of suspects files

**This role is in the Protection Services department at a Band C4 level reporting to the PIU Manager.**
- Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Certificate in Investigation /Policing/Security/Law (RPL can be applied to recognize skills obtained through short courses and experience)
- Registered with PSIRA Grade B
- Applicable firearm Unit Standard qualifications (advantageous)
- Armed response qualification (advantageous)
- Tactical Unit Standard Qualification (advantageous)
- Valid driving license where necessary

**Experience required**:

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Security or equivalent environment of which 2 years should be in Investigation
- 2 years’ experience in security administration or Security Department

**You will also need to have**:

- Psychometric Assessment for firearms
- Firearm Competency
- No criminal record
- Pass polygraph test
- Computer Literate
- Financial record Keeping (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Ibase will be advantageous

If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Certification.
