Our client in the **Payment Services** industry is looking for a skilled **Solutions Architect** who will manage their Solutions and Innovations Function, reporting into the Head of Enablement.

These would need to be based on evaluation criteria and fit for purpose solution offerings to customer needs that are commercially viable for both customers and the company.

The Solutions Architect will need to be able to compile solution documentation that incorporates Secure Payment Network Infrastructure Products and Services and Payment Technology Services, as well as supporting the company's ambition to expand into Africa.

The role will entail Solution Planning and Design. Team collaboration is vital for success.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Drive the solution architecture competency, providing advice and guidance to the business development team on delivering quality solutions to both external and internal customers.
- Primary technical interface with customers, commercial teams, OEMs, and partners, marrying business requirements with technical specifications and translating these into a customer proposal.
- Provide solution-focused consultancy service to prospect clients that focuses on optimisation of a solution and adapts to the client’s needs.
- Support of pre-sales, sales, and post-sales colleagues, ensuring customer requirements are achieved.
- Closely interact with and liaise with approved 3rd party service providers, understanding their technologies, network infrastructure, and value proposition, ensuring alignment with customer demand. Understanding and support the business to a maturity level that offers excellence.
- Identifies customer-solution-specific parameters and constraints that impact the solution and provide remedial actions to mitigate constraints and manage business risks.
- Identify opportunities within client environments for solutions or new product development and raise them with the appropriate departments for evaluation and group-wide initiatives that extend into the greater business
- Manage and drive the responses to customer queries as per Tenders, Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
- Utilize solution design experience and expertise to provide input into and create architecture for new product development.
- Provide high-level assistance and support before solution implementation, during solution implementation, and post solution implementation.
- Develop suitable processes and systems to support best practice solutions architecture across Africa.
- Own technical documentation and design, including functional specifications.
- Leverage a strong engineering background to make the right choices or contribute to the choices to be made in solution design - this knowledge includes but is not limited to: Payment Network Infrastructure, Payment Technologies
- Work with project / program management teams to design solution roadmaps through which the solution can be implemented across all phases of the initiative life-cycle (ideation through to product launch and commercialization)
- Work as part of embedded delivery teams to conduct solution reviews, and other disciplines associated with solution design & delivery
- Ensure a solid understanding of emerging & evolving architectural principles
- 5+ years experience in the IP Networking arena, preferably in the service provider technical teams.
- 3-year degree/equivalent qualification
- Industry certification e.g. Cisco (CCNP/CCDP or working toward CCIE or equivalent)

**Salary**: R80 000,00 - R85 000,00 per month
