**PRECEPTORS: MIDWIFERY X 2 (Ref 583 / 8427)**
**EAST LONDON**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Master’s degree in nursing
- Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator, Assessor and Moderator
- 5 years of working experience in a midwifery setting / unit

**ADDED ADVANTAGES**:

- Skills in clinical mentorship
- Experience in community engagements
- Development of clinical teaching and assessment material for students

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Demonstrate practical skills to students and support them during clinical accompaniment, feedback for clinical assessment and capture marks.
- Accompany and mentor students in the clinical setting (within the 75/25 clinical/theory ratio).
- Prepare and conduct summative clinical assessments.
- Identify, develop, and implement projects that are tailored for the community, with student involvement.
- Undertake clinical research and publish in DHET accredited journals.
