As a HSSE Officer at Pragma, you will be part of a purpose-focussed, multi-disciplinary team that embraces novel thinking about HSSE. **Minimum Requirements**:
- A tertiary qualification in health and safety practice and/or management, engineering or equivalent is essential. Certification in any of the following will be preferable and advantageous:
- Any/all oil and gas permit to work systems
- Fall protection planner
- HIRA
- Incident investigation
- Gas testing
- SANS 51004
- SANS 10085
- Any fuel-systems related training and certification
- A minimum of 5 years HSSE experience is required
- Proven experience in a construction environment is preferable and experience in a high-risk, high-reliability environment (for example, oil and gas) will be an advantage
- Registered with the SACPCMP as a CHSO or higher
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word is required
- You must be confident with technology
- You must be comfortable and confident to communicate and engage with people at all levels
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English is required.
- You must be analytical, detail-orientated, solutions-driven, creative and possess a flair for innovation
- You must be passionate about and committed to the ESG (i.e., Environment, Sustainability and Governance) discipline
- You must confidently demonstrate leadership capabilities and be very comfortable to present information to large groups to create alignment, buy-in and commitment
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Execute and maintain the hazards and effects management process in support of asset installation, replacement, maintenace and decomissioning projects
- Support the organisational HSSE strategy by driving the implementation and maintenance of project portfolio HSSE plans
- Liaise with clients and contractors
- Drive opportunities for HSSE communication, engagement, learning and competence development
- Provide input into the design of the assurance plan, drive and execute the assurance plan as allocated and defined
- Design and present accurate reports including leading and lagging indicators (including but not limited to contracted KPI's)
- Provide support on special projects and/or client requests and programs, as and when agreed
