A career opportunity exists for a **Laboratory Technician** in the Quality Assurance Department of the **Rosslyn Snacks Factory **reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor.

**Job Specification**:
**Key Performance Areas**:

- Incoming Material Control - raw materials, or packaging materials or New samples (suppliers), NPD, and other factories in the group
- Carry out physical and or chemical analysis as required on standard and non-standard raw materials at incoming and in-process (where required) and finished products
- Carry out analysis as required on packaging materials at incoming and in-process (where required) and finished products
- Process control and non-conformance handling
- Hygiene and housekeeping maintenance
- Training in basic laboratory techniques
- Plant hygiene and microbiological audits
- Ensure that the Laboratory equipment is fully functional and calibrated
- Maintenance of high quality, GMP, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
- To support Food Safety through GMP’s being upheld at all times
- To assist in ongoing product/plants quality improvements through plant trials, HACCP, and ISO’s standards

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- At least 1 years of experience in an FMCG Company in Quality Assurance
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage
- Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices (AIBI), ISO22000, and PRPs

**Qualifications**:

- Completed Degree or Diploma in Food Technology / Biotechnology
