**Main purpose of the job**:
Ÿ To manage a registered Pharmacy specializing in compounding sterile and non-sterile medication and ensuring that medication is compounded according to good medicine compounding practice.

**Key performance areas**:
Ÿ To manage the Pharmacy by cGPP and cGMCP guidelines

Ÿ Formalize and implement standard operating procedures.

Ÿ Quality Knowledge in quality assurance and/or cGMCP/ Pharmaceutical compounding environment Previous experience within quality management

Ÿ Provide applicable training to any other Pharmacy Staff, e.g. Backup pharmacist.

Ÿ Ensure calibration and servicing of Pharmacy equipment.

Ÿ Must be familiar with sterile and non-sterile compounding/manufacturing and dispensing, non-negotiable.

Ÿ Interpret prescriptions and dispense medicines accordingly.

Ÿ Must be familiar with aseptic technique in a cleanroom and all cleanroom procedures.

Ÿ Routine environmental sampling monitoring of all cleanrooms,

Ÿ Reporting and investigation of all non-conformities during compounding processes

Ÿ To manage the process and file relevant documentation

Ÿ Evaluate COA’s, manage and oversee the Raw material and packaging stock, procurement of materials and packaging from suppliers to ensure sufficient stock, stock received and expired stock.

Ÿ Temperature and differential pressure monitoring and management as per protocol requirements.

Ÿ Assist team members with an open helpful attitude, perform on-the-job training where necessary.

Ÿ Develop, investigate. and evaluate all new and current formulations.

Ÿ Production planning according to received orders

Ÿ Investigation and resolution of patient complaints and adverse events

Ÿ Oversee and sign-off on all laboratory and cleanroom functions.

**Required minimum education and training**:
Ÿ B. Pharm

Ÿ M.Sc in pharmaceutics will be advantageous**.**

**Required minimum work experience**:
Ÿ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical compounding or manufacturing facility.

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:
Ÿ Valid driver’s license

Ÿ Sound knowledge of non-sterile and sterile drugs and compounding/manufacturing procedures

Ÿ Attention to detail.

Ÿ Exceptional organizational and administrative skills

Ÿ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ÿ Able to exercise discretion.

Ÿ Independent decision-making

**Salary**: R70,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month
