**BI ANALYST**

This role requires a motivated, energetic, inquisitive, and highly numerate person who has a solid technical base but also possesses an appreciation for numbers. The successful individual will transform data into insights that drive business value and assist the business in the implementation of its data initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
- Integration of data into relevant workflow processes, with the specific aim of continuously improving what the company does and how it does it.
- Conceptualisation, definition, and delivery of new reports
- Continuous improvement of existing reports
- Continual search for new and useful ways to obtain, integrate and analyse data that is relevant to the company’s business model.
- Education of report end-users to ensure a maximum spread of expertise around the company
- Liaison with the business and IT to:

- accommodate the customer’s business needs,
- resolve conflicting user demands,
- maintain positive customer relations through strong communication and coordination.
- Identify information requirements through interviews, workshops, business processes and workflow description analysis for identified projects.
- Model user and information requirements by making use of applicable tools and given scope.
- Transform data into business intelligence that support business stakeholders in making informed decisions. Must be able to:

- Extract, transform and load (ETL) data from different data sources such as Datawarehouse, production databases, excel files, text files and web data sources into applicable destinations.
- Develop and build data models.
- Make use of Excel, PowerPivot or PowerBI to present information contained in Data Model
- Engage with external service providers and other relevant stakeholders to present detailed requirement specification and present the proposed solution to relevant internal stakeholders for approval.
- Work with external service provider to test, implement and keep all relevant stakeholders up to date on business solutions.
- Define, build, and manage approved project plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree with majors in IS/Maths /Stats/Engineering or similar
- A minimum of at least 3 years' work experience in a business intelligence role
- Must have expert experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Transact structured Query language (T-SQL)
- Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid working knowledge of:

- Data Modelling
- Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
- MS SQL and MySQL in General
- Power BI Stack (Desktop, Service, Gateway, Query, Datasets, Dataflows)
- Good graphical presentation skills of data
- Knowledge of data warehouse architecture and methodologies
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and proactive
- Logical thinking skills
