**Responsibilities**

**Programme oversight (where applicable)**:

- Develop and document admission and exemption policies for the programme and manage implementation of these policies.
- Track and manage student throughout on assigned programmes, in consultation with PMs, including the oversight of “at risk” student management.
- Action items that come out of specific student surveys and focus groups, in coordination with programme managers.
- Draft accreditation documentation for new programmes; review existing programmes and make interim changes as required.
- Conduct and minute regular meetings with all module owners on qualification to ensure that qualification objectives are met.
- Monitor curriculum development implementation, performance, and quality of assigned programmes.

**Recruitment, performance management and people development**
- Recruit PT academic staff (lecturers, examiners, critical readers, authors, moderators, tutors, supervisors, markers) for assigned areas.
- Manage induction and development of new PT academic staff.
- Manage the performance of lecturing staff to ensure that part-time lecturers meet

the institution's standards.

**Teaching**
- Lecture and assess on assigned programmes in field of expertise and manage the

course environment on the institution's online portal.
- Manage the authoring of new/review of existing material.

- Conduct regular quality checks on assessments drafted in the department.
- Sign off all marks for assigned modules, manage academic assessment discrepancies

and make recommendations to the Results Committee.
- Arrange guest speakers for lectures and general alumni/other sessions.
- Assist students with content related queries and deal with requests for extra student

support.

**Customer Service**
- Meet with students on academic issues in terms of agreed schedule (also on progression and articulation options).
- Capture information on contact with students on the system, upload all documents and record all academic decisions.
- Address student academic queries and disputes.
- Upskill sales and support staff on all matters relating to programme.

**Special projects and business consulting**
- Assist in the planning and delivery of special projects as required by management.
- Stay abreast of developments in area of expertise and network within community of

experts.
- Provide consulting services as and when required in field of expertise, in consultation

with management.

**Education & Experience Requirements**
- Undergraduate BCOM qualification at NQF 7 in a Compliance and Risk management field.
- Minimum three years’ industry-related experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in higher education
- Dealing with corporate students and clients.
