**JOB PROFILE**

**JOB PURPOSE**
The core purpose of the role is to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, while also generating sales and revenue for the company. The delivery sales representative is responsible for managing their delivery schedule, driving a delivery vehicle, and ensuring that all products are delivered in good condition. The delivery sales representative must also actively seek out new sales opportunities and maintain existing customer relationships.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**DELIVERY MANAGEMENT**
- Load vehicle for delivery.
- Ensure goods is properly secured on the vehicle.
- Ensure correct stock is loaded onto the vehicle as per the Invoice.
- Pre-load vehicles for next-day deliveries.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring that all products are delivered in good condition.
- Offload product at customer site as per client requirements.
- Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and ensure PODs are signed according to requirements and submitted to admin office daily.
- Ensure vehicle inspection checklists are completed accurately.
- Ensure fuel consumption is achieved as per company standards.
- Ensure vehicle is always clean and presentable.

**SALES MANAGEMENT**
- Ensure sales target is achieved.
- Identify sales targets per customer.
- Set up strategies to address sales requirements.
- Identify lost sales and ensure recovery through sales strategies to meet monthly budget.
- Analyse customers’ sales history on system and identify sales opportunities.
- Sales analysis.
- Analyse customers and identify products not buying/stopped purchasing & increase buying of such.
- Identify new clients and strategize bringing the client on board.
- Generate sales and revenue by actively seeking out new sales opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships.

**CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT**
- Communicate to customers as required.
- Pricelists.
- Discontinuation of stock.
- Promotional stock.
- General notifications.
- Market H Systems products to current and new potential customers.
- Ensure adherence to customer site regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about products and making recommendations that align with customer needs.

**ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING**
- Complete sales and demand forecasts and actual sales analysis for the different market segments on a month-by-month basis.
- Customer visit report.
- Weekly call report.
- Communicate pipeline orders or “out of the ordinary” purchases to Branch Manager and Procurement.
- Review credit limits and request payments as required and communication to Debtors department.
- Manage delivery schedule and maintain accurate records of deliveries and sales activities.

**SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL**
- Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
- Co-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
- Carry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
- Report any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
- Report any incident to the employer.
- Comply with health and safety plans.
- Participate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
- Identify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Always ensure adherence to Road Traffic Act.
- Always maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.

**KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12 / NQF 4.
- Valid Drivers’ license.

**EXPERIENCE**
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

**KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**
- Computer literacy with Proficiency in MS Excel at an intermediate level.
- Proficient in SAGE Evolution, or similar, at an intermediate level.
- A thorough practical knowledge of best practices in sales processes.
- Awareness and understanding of the ISO Standard requirements relevant to the position.
