IQbusiness is a leading independent management consulting firm.

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager with extensive experience in Payments to lead our current service offering in Cards and Payment.
**Hands on experience on projects which have had an impact on payments across South Africa (i.e. Modernisation); experience in electronic, card and / or wholesale / high value payment streams; and understanding of the National Payment System (NPS) and its developments is a definite must****
**Responsibilities & Deliverables**:
As a **Senior Manager: SME Payments Consultant** some of your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Experience with presales and be able to drive the development of high-quality proposals and other business development initiatives whilst managing a current portfolio of clients
- Deep knowledge and awareness of current market
- Able to present both internally and externally
- Ability to interact with people at all levels (both external and internal) and be able to build a good rapport and long-lasting relationships as well as gaining credibility and trust with clients by adding value to their business
- Able to anticipate stakeholder needs
- Work across different competencies in a seamless and cohesive manner
- Proven track record of leading and managing project teams, developing project strategies and successfully implementing various types of complex projects
- Manage the development of the team (both internally and externally - client facing) during the length of each project and identify opportunities for them to grow and build their skills
- Focus on improving profitability while managing business risk
- Have the flexibility to manage a diverse range of responsibilities in a results-oriented environment
- Oversee client assignments through to their natural conclusions
- Manage client risks, governance and project administration (including financial management, project profitability, scope and timelines)
- Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project related activities.
- Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards
- Follow established project management standards. Provide activities related to the management of assigned implementation projects to bring the project to a timely close and transition the client appropriately
- Complete post-implementation tasks in a timely manner
- Update internal documentation as applicable
Participate in the development of implementation or training content. Conduct training and/or reinforce prior training to both external clients and internal staff.
- Maintain, enhance, and broaden knowledge of payments, industry practices and developments.
**M**ust have - Experience**:

- Minimum of **8** years of experience in relevant area of expertise (Payments) working for a financial for a financial institution/ within a consulting environment.
- **
Must have** minimum of 8+ years’ payments-related delivery experience.
- **
Consulting experience is a must**
- Client facing experience required. Engagement across stakeholders
- Experience with various project management disciplines preferred (Agile, Prince2, PMBoK).
**Educational Qualifications**
- Matric
- University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelors’ Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution
- PASA Certificate in Foundational Payments
- Visa / MasterCard Certifications
- Experience with Finastra Global PAYPlus and / or PowerCARD is a plus
