Position Sheet Metal Plant Supervisor

Type: Permanent Our client The company is a family-owned sheet metal solution-based business.

Purpose of the job: Seeking an outstanding supervisor who will be responsible for overall plant operations which includes production output, quality and safety. Primary Responsibilities:

- Manage the workshop production and efficiency of the team to ensure all orders are manufactured on time and in the correct quality.
- Identify potential shortfall in workshop capacity and communicate this to management.
- Update each order status on schedule to allow live progress.
- Monitor raw material & finished goods inventories to insure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain high quality products with a goal of zero quality defects.
- Oversee the receipt of materials to ensure they correspond to paperwork received.
- Direct involvement in quarterly stock takes.
- Ensure all health and safety standards are maintained.
- Always maintain good housekeeping.
- Manage and direct all non-conformances.
- Manage any disciplinary or performance issues in line with company procedures, seeking advice from your manager and HR as required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience within a steel metal fabrication production facility.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, other departments, managers, and senior management.
- Excellent leadership skills to positively motivate employees to keep production always running efficiently and cost effectively
- Problem solving skill set to be able to proactively and quickly evaluate the situation and making timely corrective actions and decisions.
- Computer skills with the ability to maintain the production schedule
- **ABILITY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND TECNICAL DRAWINGS**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month
