Chief Estimator: Sheetfed

**Job Desciption**:
Novus Print seeks to appoint a Chief Estimator that will be responsible for managing the estimating function within Sheetfed & Digital, the forecasting and sourcing of local paper only and procuring and coordinating sheeting of reels. The incumbent will be based at Montague Gardens and report to the Commercial Manager.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the accurate and timeous delivery of estimates to clients
- Liaising with the central procurement team to establish paper buying according to the overall procurement and planning strategy
- Effectively manage the Estimating function and ensure accurate market related cost estimates are provided to customers
- Procurement of paper in accordance with the overall procurement strategy
- Manage, prepare and be the custodian of contracts & pricing schedules, new and existing, and the renewal of existing contracts
- Ensure pricing templates and structures are created and maintained

**Educational Requirements**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Certificate in Estimating is a prerequisite
- A relevant accounting qualification would be advantageous

**Experience Requirements**:

- At least 5 - 8 years Estimator working experience in the printing industry
- At least 2 years supervisory/management experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Sheetfed & Digital printing is essential
- Knowledge of the printing industry and customers, specifically of Sheetfed & Digital printing
