**Vacancy: Desktop Publisher**

An accredited private higher education distance education provider, offering undergraduate and postgraduate business qualifications, has a vacancy available for the position of Desktop Publisher.

**Core Purpose**

The core purpose of the job is to provide support and supervision to the Curriculum Development and
Management by assisting with the formatting and digitising of the module guides, and ensuring new and existing curriculum are at a ready state to ensure that meets its strategic objectives and goals.

**Core Functions**
- Formatting of all Module Guides, Programme Information Sheets and Curriculum Structures
- Play a key role in the digitisation of new and old Module Guides
- Liaise with service provider regarding system developments for the Curriculum Development and

Management System
- Printing of Study Material
- Employ effective project and time management strategies to ensure that students receive module guides in time
- Prepare for and ensure attendance at any site visits relating to the academic programmes
- Actively participate in CHE Audit and site visits together with the other members of Management
- Participate in any regulatory body activity

**Minimum Requirements**
- Minimum **Degree in Information Technology**:

- Minimum 1-year experience
- At least 1-2 year’s higher education work experience, higher education experience preferable
- Experience with engaging with the following software: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator,

Photoshop, Muse, Animate/Flash, Dreamweaver) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visual
Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans

**Salary**
- R10k - R15k
- 6 month fixed term contract - negotiable and renewable based on performance

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
