A well-established manufacturer of industrialnon-woven têxtiles based in **Hammarsdale, KZN,** is looking for a suitably qualified Quality Assurance Officer to implement and monitor all quality assurance systems and processes in the company. This position reports to the Quality Manager and is a permanent position. The post would suit a systems-orientated applicant who is strong in implementation and problem-solving.

**Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification in quality systems.
- At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and root cause analysis
- Good maths skills (a Matric pass in Maths of more than 50% would be a strong recommendation)
- Good computer skills, particularly XL and word
- Must have good written communication skills
- Meticulous and accurate with attention to detail.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Developing an audit schedule and conduct internal audits
- Conduct daily random checks to check that all products are manufactured to specification and system procedures followed.
- Maintain and manage all customer master samples by correctly labelling them with the pertinent information and storing them in a safe and organised manner
- Maintain and manage all Reference Master samples by correctly labelling them with all relevant product details
- Make sure all Product Specifications are in good condition and up to date
- Compile and check all COC’s required by our customers for our finished goods daily
- Capture and manage the weekly wastage report so that it is ready for analysis at the weekly Wastage Meeting and provide constructive feedback and problem solving in the meetings.
- Compile, maintain, and implement a comprehensive calibration schedule of all measuring equipment
- Assist with ICAR investigations as well as implementing any corrective actions that fall under the QA area of responsibility that may originate from ICARS.
- Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve processes
- Communicate closely with the Production Leaders and Line Operators regarding the correct and accurate completion of all production log sheets as well as any feedback from Wastage Meetings, and Audits.
