**Introduction**

**Role Purpose**

To strategically lead the adoption of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and low code-no code development methods, setting policy and direction, while overseeing process engineering, integration, design architecture, process analysis, automation, process mapping, and business analysis to drive operational efficiency and innovation.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- TOGAF certification (Desirable)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Desirable)

**10 - 12 years financial and/or insurance industry experience in information technology solution delivery or related field, including**:

- Solution design and architecture;
- Leadership roles such as team leader, development manager, or similar positions;
- Software development; and
- Exposure to agile development environments and object orientated solutions.

**The following knowledge requirements were found to be relevant to this job**:

- Knowledge of solution design and architecture principles.
- Understanding of business analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and low code-no code development methodologies.
- Knowledge of governance principles to establish and enforce governance standards for solution design, implementation, and operation.
- Understanding of architectural standards and best practices to maintain solution integrity.
- Continuous analysis of technology trends and industry knowledge to recommend improvements and adapt architecture accordingly.
- Knowledge of agile project management principles.
- Knowledge of change management principles.
- Understanding of industry trends and innovations' impact on technology.
- Understanding of governance processes, systems, and legislative requirements.
- Proficiency in risk identification processes.
- Knowledge of efficiency and productivity measures.
- Familiarity with the organisation's technology stack (e.g., programming languages, databases, cloud platforms, and architectural patterns).

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**PROCESS**:

- Drive the strategic direction of solution design and architecture, setting policies and standards in alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Analyse business requirements to design and develop technically sound solutions that support the value chain and adhere to enterprise architecture standards.
- Utilise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and low code-no code methodologies to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to understand and meet business requirements comprehensively.
- Establish and enforce governance standards for the design, implementation, and operation of solutions across the organisation.
- Prioritise projects and solutions based on strategic priorities and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure holistic and integrated solution design and delivery aligned with business needs.
- Facilitate collaborative analysis sessions to ensure seamless integration across systems.
- Maintain architectural standards and ensure solution integrity and best practices.
- Adapt system architecture to accommodate changes in technology, market trends, and customer needs.
- Create and maintain clear documentation, prototypes, and models to facilitate alignment between users and developers.
- Communicate business and solution architecture requirements effectively to inform business cases.
- Continuously analyse the current technology environment and industry trends to recommend improvements and adapt architecture accordingly.

**CLIENT**:

- Provide authoritative expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders, offering solutions and recommendations in line with their needs and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Ensure the delivery of services adheres to agreed-upon service level agreements made with both internal and external stakeholders and clients, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service within the scope of responsibility, making recommendations for improvements and fair treatment of clients.
- Contribute to the negotiation of objective and realistic service level agreements, actively monitoring their appropriateness, and suggesting adjustments as needed.
