Pharmaceutical Manufactures in Johannesburg, Roodepoort is Currently looking for an aspiring Pharmaceutical Quality Control Supervisor. The QC Supervisor will be responsible for the quality control and Microbiology Laboratory, reporting to the QA Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the training of staff in existing company procedures and policies and new procedures and policies prior to implementation.
- To ensure that you and your staff are trained in the latest techniques relevant to your functions and that all the relevant seminars are attended.
- Responsible for the appropriate handling of grievances or hearing pertaining the staff reporting to you.
- To assist in preparing the annual budget and ensure expenditure remains within confines of the budget.
- Ensure that that the QC laboratory staff compliment is fulfilled and maintained within the agreed budget and still provide requires service level.
- To maximise productivity and minimize costs in your departmental areas.
- To ensure that all raw materials, intermediates, and packaging released to production, bulk products for packaging and products for sale, meet the quality assurance standards, GMP, legal, SAHPRA requirements, as well as those of the regulatory bodies of other countries where relevant, and that the principles of GLP are applied.
- Complies with and enforces regulations to dress code and safety equipment at operational level.
- Monitoring and trending of water testing results.
- Review and approval of test specifications and master batch records.
- Perform and coordinate environmental monitoring.
- Perform all microbial testing of bulk, raw materials and final products that require microbial testing.
- Participate in good housekeeping practices.
- Carry out relevant non-specific duties across the Site as requested.
- Assist with collection and maintenance of information and data.
- Observe and enforce discipline according to the companies’ disciplinary code of conduct.

Requirements and skills
- BSc with microbiology OR BPharm degree.
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals Warehouse (advantageous).
- Sound knowledge in the principles of cGMP (SA GMP and PICs).
- 2- 5 years’ experience in quality controller role and proven work experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.

**Salary**:

- Market Related
