Technical Writer

A globally respected, South African based company that specialises in Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing and is consistently at a leading position of developments in modern electronic technology is looking for a Technical Author.

**Position details**:
Type: 12 Month Contract
Reports to: Industrialisation Manager
Job description / core competencies:

- Compile work, inspection and test instructions within approved format, content and applicable standards.
- Maintenance of instructions and manuals.
- Compiling Standard Operating Procedures.
- Capturing and manipulating photos to be used in instructions.
- Practical knowledge of photography.
- Creating production flow diagrams.
- Must be computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Internet, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude, self-motivated and reliable.

**Location (country, city): Alberton, Gauteng**

**Job Qualification & Experience**:

- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tertiary qualification in the technical/engineering field.
- 3+years’ experience in Technical Writing within the Manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical writing skills.
